Generation Cobweb is an idea conceived in a dirty, sweaty factory pit. In such a mind-numbing place, filled with noise, dust and sweat it would be assumed new ideas could not even be born. Let alone flourish and grow. But out of the dreariness and stink came Generation Cobweb, where truth can be told, ideas can be explored and individuals are free to discover themselves. We encourage  you to think, learn and grow so you can validate yourself and your beliefs.At Generation Cobweb we welcome new truths and embrace old wisdom.

In today’s world, religion and politics (the two things you never talk about in polite company) are closely intertwined. To understand politics you need to understand religion as well. When the history books are written about our time the prevailing theme may well be religious wars. Muslims arrayed against Christians, Christian countries invading Islamic countries, riots between Christian sects and Muslims alike. And so it goes.

We believe studying the literature and philosophy of our past helps us understand the present and shape the future. History is not a collection of dusty old books or memorized dates. History lives in the great literature handed down to us through the generations. Truth may not be as universal or enduring as many believe but by understanding the truth of the past we can discover the truth of the present.

Here at Generation Cobweb we will still try to get behind the glib explanations and inside the real story, to discover the truth. We will continue to investigate stories from the dark alleys to explore how they affect each of us as individuals. Then shine the light of history and literature upon them enabling us to form a personal philosophy, build a religion that makes sense, define responsible politics, appreciate our poets and literature so we can write our history as the time we emerged from a long sleep into the light of a new awakening. So what’s with the ads?
No, we haven’t sold out. We want to cover our expenses so Generation Cobweb can continue to publish book reviews on literature and poetry, articles on religion, history, literature, philosophy and give you a forum where you can express yourself freely. For a lot of the ads we are using Google Adsense because most of the ads served by Google Adsense are for products or sites that are compatible and complementary with Generation Cobweb.

We chose Amazon as our source for books, dvds and other products. First, we like to read and encourage everyone visiting Generation Cobweb to read as well. Secondly, we handpick individual book ads. You can be assured we have read, enjoyed and learned from them. The tower ads (the ones with several books listed) are generated by Amazon from keywords we picked. They should be relevant to the article or page you are reading.
