That’s almost every man woman and child in town! We have been telling you that its not hit bottom yet, and yet the news tries to say we could be out of this by next year? Hold on to your seat because the ride is going to get bumpy. Watch “Money Masters” and some of the others we have to help. This is not by chance we find our country in this mess. It took a lot of planning.

I know so many of you are fearful of the future. It seems like everyone we know is being taken down by this economic trouble facing us all. We have talked about what is happening now for a long time and can only say read between the fine print on the news, it’s all brushed over oh so quickly, but they do tell us. Listen to the news and read the past articles. You will find that you see the news in a new light. I wish I could say we will all make it through this, but we won’t. Be strong and be wise, it is the only thing we can do at this point. I can only say that knowing the game plan makes you a better player! Have a great day!

McCobb is always telling me to have faith. But what is faith? In the Bible, perhaps the supreme reference, defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. (Hebrews 11.1 KJV)

Faith is believing there is more than what we see, hear and taste. Faith is belief not yet proven. Faith can also be the biggest lie ever told. Believing something is true doesn’t make it so.

Unfortunately people sometimes prefer to believe the untruth over fact. I don’t consider that to be faith.

For instance, it requires faith to believe in God. There is no proof, no method of measuring His presence. But I believe in God, my faith being the evidence of his existence.

My faith does not extend to the myriad of rules, regulations and traditions that have become synonymous with belief in a higher power. It baffles me as to how one could read the Bible, a book based on faith and forgiveness, and then forge a concrete and unforgiving religion around ‘the word of God’.

Incidentally the Bible is not the ‘word of God’.

John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(KJV)

John 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.(KJV)

It seems we are drifting through life on an invisible raft, speeding up ever so slightly that one day we realize that events have piled upon our memory banks. That is when we must look at the day in new light, never taking a moment for granted. May your journey be grand and your life be long.
